Christmas and a New Year

With the stress and hub bub of Christmas finally over, Bill and I had a chance to really get sick.  He’d been fighting the flu since before Christmas, but I finally was down for the count yesterday and spent the entire day on the couch in jammies.  I haven’t been feeling well for a while…

Bill’s mother, Eunice Blakely, passed on Christmas day.  She had been battling Alzheimer’s for several years, but the shock was still the same.  Someone passes, and you grieve.  But I know that she’s doing just fine.  She was a great lady who was very giving and spiritual.  I know we will meet again one day.

And now a new year is upon us.  God grant us serenity, security and peace.  We certainly need it!
